Customs uncovers 4 bullet proof cars in hidden Ikoyi house. 

- Officers of the Nigeria Customs Service have uncovered and imponded 4 bullet proof cars in a ‘hidden house’ in Ikoyi- The operatives also uncovered over 40 other assorted vehicles including Toyota Prado Jeeps and Lexus Jeeps, from various car marts in Ikoyi- Nobody has come forward yet to claim the cars, and the Customs Service has vowed to fish out those behind the clearance of the vehicles, and make them face the lawFour bullet proof cars have been impounded from a house inIkoyi, by officers of the Federal Operations Unit (FOU), Zone A of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Premium Times reports.The development was made public by Mohammed Garba, FOU Customs Area Controller.

- Garba stated:“Our operatives trailed and evacuated 59 assorted vehicles from car marts in Ikoyi; among of which over 40 are 2017 models ranging from Toyota Prado Jeeps, Lexus Jeeps, Toyota Hilux, Toyota Camry, Coaster Bus, Toyota Hiace Bus, among others currently under detention awaiting relevant customs document from the dealers withina grace of one month.“Some are even bullet-proof which require End User Certificates from the Office of the National Security Adviser, NSA.“We removed these (bullet proof) vehicles from a hidden house in Ikoyi, while others were gotten from a car park in FESTAC.“Investigation will reveal further those behind the clearance of these vehicles and they must face the full wrath of the law.”

in a related development, ROYALPIZZLE.COM previously reported that the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS)impounded 37 brand new vehiclesreportedly worth N1.3billion and 12,081 bags of smuggled parboiled rice with a Duty Paid Value ( DPV) worth N149million.The seizure was made by officers and men of the Federal Operation Unit (FOU) Zone ‘A’ Ikeja and the CGC Compliance Team in Lagos.The impounded vehicles according to Customs boss, Hameed Ali, include eight Lexus Jeep -LX570, 2017 model; 12 Land Cruiser Jeep-GXR, 2017 model and 17 Toyota Hilux of 2016, 2013, 2012, 2012, 2011 and 209 models respectively.
